Dr. Kaushik Bharati
is a Health Policy Consultant at UNESCO. He received his PhD in Physiology from the University of Calcutta in 2001, with specialization in Vaccinology. He carried out his doctoral work at the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine. He did his Post-doctoral Fellowship from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK, specializing in Immunology and Molecular Biology. He has extensive expertise in the area of COVID-19, Japanese encephalitis virus, Chikungunya virus, Nipah virus, Zika virus, and HPV. He also has a special interest in the area of Snakebite and Cholera. He has contributed substantially in the area of Public Health Policy.
