Dr. Kaushik Bharati
is a Public Health Consultant based in New Delhi. He received his PhD in Physiology from the University of Calcutta in 2001, with specialization in Vaccinology. He carried out his doctoral work at the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine. He did his Post-doctoral Fellowship from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK, specializing in Immunology and Molecular Biology. He has extensive expertise in the area of recombinant DNA vaccines against Japanese encephalitis virus and Chikungunya virus. He has a special interest in the area of Snakebite, as well as Nipah, Zika and Dengue viruses. He has also contributed substantially in the area of Public Health Policy.
